There’s a saying: “If you dream big, don’t ask small minds.”
And it rings true for me.
Over time, I’ve come to realize how different my mindset is—especially when it comes to how I live and spend.
Some friends have told me to stop buying expensive items like MacBooks or brands like MUJI and UNIQLO.
They suggest I find the cheapest options instead.
I’ve tried.
But what I got was lower quality, wasted time, and the need to replace things sooner than expected.
On the other hand, spending more got me better design, better performance, and longer-lasting use.
When I calculate the true cost—it’s actually cheaper in the long run.
I’ve seen friends spend four hours walking through four malls just to save 10 baht on a pair of shoes.
Meanwhile, I’d rather use that time to make more money.
To me,
frugality that lowers your quality of life isn’t worth it.
It’s easier—and far more empowering—to earn more and live the life I truly want.
