Be as mindful of what comes out of your mouth as what goes in

Today, I happened to listen to a short talk from a respected teacher.

And one sentence struck me deeply:

“Illness often comes from what enters the mouth,

but life’s greatest problems often come from what exits it.”

Just one sentence—simple yet powerful.

The food we eat without thinking

can harm our health.

But words spoken out of emotion, without thought,

can damage relationships,

shatter trust,

and close doors we didn’t even realize were open.

Often, we don’t mean to hurt anyone—

but our words hit harder than we think.

Every word we speak carries power.

It can either move us forward or pull us back.

So today…

I choose to speak with intention

instead of just speaking to release.
